We’re thrilled to introduce Carol, our Head of Customer Success.
We sat down with her to find out more about them and why they want to contribute to the arts and culture sector.
Hi Carol! Can you tell us a little bit about yourself and what you did before joining CultureSuite?
I've spent over 20 years in the live entertainment sector, primarily focusing on ticketing for both venues and suppliers. Before joining CultureSuite, I held the position of Conference Manager for Ticketing Professionals Conference (TPC) in both the US and UK.
What enticed you to join CultureSuite?
What really drew me to CultureSuite was the chance to be part of a company that truly understands and serves a specialised global community within the arts and culture sector. As Head of Customer Success, the idea of working with organisations across the UK, US, Netherlands, Denmark and Europe in general was incredibly appealing.
What’s your earliest experience of arts and culture? And how did it influence who you are today?
My earliest memorable arts and culture experience was working at a Heritage Railway in Southern California. This role involved both ticket office operations during the week and interacting with guests on the train during weekends. This dual experience taught me the importance of efficient back-of-house administration and engaging front-of-house interaction for a seamless guest experience. It also fostered my appreciation for immersive experiences and helped me develop strong communication and customer service skills. Ultimately, this experience shaped my understanding that arts and culture is about creating memorable, engaging experiences that connect people to history and more.
How would you like to help the sector in your new role?
I'd like to help the sector by fostering deeper strategic partnerships and ensuring our customer success efforts drive continuous innovation. Being the Head of Customer Success means I'm at the forefront of understanding our clients' evolving needs. I want to build a feedback loop where their insights directly inform the future development of CultureSuite, from digital signage to event planning integrations. By truly listening and proactively supporting their journey, we can collectively advance digital sustainability for the arts and culture world.
What do you enjoy doing outside of your role at CultureSuite?
Cooking is a significant passion; I love experimenting with new recipes and preparing delicious meals. During the World Cup, I particularly enjoy selecting a different competing country each day and cooking a meal representative of that nation. Traveling is another beloved pursuit, as I find great joy in discovering new places, immersing myself in various cultures, and experiencing the world firsthand. It's truly about embracing a lively life and continuous learning!

What is the most interesting (be that cool, random or otherwise!) thing that’s ever happened to you?
That's an amazing question, and working in live entertainment certainly guarantees a few interesting stories! While meeting my husband at a ticketing conference was pretty special, and the cool connections I've made are invaluable, the most random and perhaps coolest thing that ever happened to me was when my parents decided to pack up and "run away" with the circus when I was in my early 20s.

It was definitely an unexpected turn of events, and something that always gets a reaction when I share it! It's not every day your folks decide to join the circus, and it speaks to the wonderfully unpredictable nature of life, especially when you're involved in such a dynamic industry.
