Not every cultural organisation needs a fully translated website. But for those serving dedicated audiences in other languages – whether that's French-speaking visitors in Canada or international tourists in major cities – getting translations right could be the difference between an engaged visitor and a lost browser.
Our CMS platform already includes built-in translation tools for smaller tasks – translating individual text fields or specific content blocks. But for venues that need their entire website available in another language, with everything kept in sync automatically, that approach doesn't scale.
That's where Clonable comes in. Rather than manually translating content field by field, Clonable clones your entire website and translates it automatically – keeping everything synchronised as you add new events and pages.
Who is this for?
This partnership is designed for cultural organisations that:
- Have a significant audience who speak a different language
- Need high-quality translations where accuracy matters
- Want to reach international tourists or serve multilingual communities
If you're only translating small sections of your site occasionally, this probably isn't for you. But if language accessibility is important to your audience, Clonable offers a more robust solution than basic AI translation tools.
How it works
Clonable creates a translated clone of your website on a subdomain, subfolder, or separate domain. Translations achieve 97-98% accuracy and remain synchronised with your original site automatically.
Because we've built a dedicated integration with our CMS, setup is significantly faster than usual. What typically takes a week can most of the time be done in under an hour, with no technical development required from your team.
You can set translation exclusions (so show titles like "Alice in Wonderland" stay as they are), swap out specific phrases globally, and make spot corrections through Clonable's editor. Analytics work seamlessly too – your cloned site appears as a separate property in GA4.
Proofing your translated website is still essential though. We always recommend manual checks by a human.
Already working for Parktheater Eindhoven
Parktheater in the Netherlands has been using Clonable to serve their international audience. After a three-hour proofreading session with a human translator to catch edge cases, their system now runs smoothly and new pages get translated automatically without ongoing maintenance.
“It's always kept up to date and it saves us so much time!" says Milly van Maanen from Parktheater Eindhoven.
For venues that want extra assurance, Clonable has a network of human translators who can proofread your most important pages – homepage, checkout, key landing pages – typically for a few hundred euros.
